It comes from having to try and disguise a thick Glaswegian accent as a 5 year old at school, and hide the slowly emerging English accent at home

My OH speaks perfect Italian and doesn't have an accent whatsoever anymore -- I often beg him to put his English accent on when he speaks Italian as I like it so much more

I used to be teased mercilessly for my accent by some mean boys

They kept getting me to say cappuccino and laughing at the way I said the 'o' sound

To be honest you won't hear much of my accent between all the errrrms and ahhhhhs, I can understand what people are saying but these days actually assembling the words to reply is difficult!
