The amount of times I get asked the question 'But why do you choose to have cobs?'

Hairy dragged in out the field after being roughed off away with colts all winter, bareback, down the main road 2 miles which includes 2 motorway bridges to go over also.
Go try that on any other horse ;)

[It wasn't just one of my random joking ideas I thought I'd try btw lol...it was actually something which needed to be done. We have another field just over 2 miles away from our barn, which normally we don't have to hay as they have a 20acre field but since Sunday we've got a couple of ponies on a 5 day wormer, so they're being kept in the old cattle pen at the top of the field we've opened up temporarily for them so they're off the grass. We normally go up there in the pick-up morning and night...however, ended up with no pick-up today as boss was in hospital early for her daughter, so I was doing the horses on my own today....which would have been fine any other time....but forgetting the fact of getting hay up to them guys! I couldn't get a lift at all and had mouths that needed feeding one way or another...So, we did a couple of trips like that. It seemed like the best solution to it!]

So yes, Cobs are officially the 'Pick-up car' of the horse world ;)

Haha!!!

Yes....said cob did have a good old munch. I forgot how much damn schooling I did with that cob....who knew a cob could keep his head to his shoulder eating, whilst staying in a perfect straight line trotting! He did stop when I asked....though I found it too amusing.

The looks we got off drivers going by!

some brilliant pictures..
my cobs can do this and also win dressage against beautiful sport horses..they also do a mean hunter trial course and might just do a bit of 90cm showjumping too(if they feel like it')......GO COBS!!!!

I'm on the verge of buying a cob - even my 7 year old daughter has ridden him around the yard! They are the perfect horse...

Hindsight and all that... (as per my mammoth 19 page thread  )
