So took Tiger xc schooling for the first time this season, was desperate to get back out and I think he was too!!! Hadn't taken him since about July last year!!! :O

Any way he was MEGAAA!!! Absolutely LOVED it!!! and he was jumping some pretty beastly stooof, although only really have pics of the warm up fences and a couple a big ones coz my dad refused to walk follow me round HAHAH!!! But got some nice piccers of my special lad!!!

I have been doing ALOT of SJ practice reccently and improving that, and it has helped so much he was really straight and SO bold, didn't bat an eyelid at anything even when with did a few questions!!!

This horse really is so special, he can go and win his second ridden class of the season at an agricultural show, in the absolute pouring rain and freezing wind, give the judge a superb ride on horrendously slippy ground, and not complain, it is only his second season under saddle yet he is beating horses that have been in the game years, including stallions and very smart HOYS horses!!!

And the next weekend go and charge round an xc course, flying everything and giving 'proper' horses leads over water, ditches and skinny combos!!!

He will be out of Novice show classes next year and in with the big boys and HOYS quals can't wait for that!!! Have the arab nationals come up in july and also kent county!!!

Back to the xc, he was a star!!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, and here is a video I made on Saturday includes video from xc and is quite a powerful vid, I had alot of people tell me at the beginning he would be no good for me, I wouldn't be able to jump him or control him, and kinda just sticking two fingers up to them HAHA!!! So proud of him

Wow Weeeee!

Wow :D

When you get a good Arab they are just so incredible because they are sooooo athletic, literally nothing can beat them. I had one and no-one who looked at him thought he was good for anything other than being pretty and flouncy.
However he came 2nd in Newcomers finals at 6yrs and was jumping and winning foxhunter at aged 7. I was lucky to have him 10 years later and he took me all through PC eventing, BSJA opens and he was brill. He would walk over 4ftplus like it was pole, totally effortless. The power was immense. I bet your horse feels like that!

You obviously have such a special bond with your horse. You both look like a fairy tale. Its so wonderful. Well done to you and Tiger :D.

God I love arabs, watching that vid has reminded me of a little chestnut I used to exercise and jumping/riding her felt like you were riding the softest most elastic athletic creature ever. He's gorgeous best of luck with him, and don't listen to negative people

Thanks guys!!! Yes he is so so athletic I love it, just like a bouncy ball!!! he can sure shift as well, always inside the time, never tired and can go on for ever!!! he tries his little heart out!!!

Yes he's big for an arab 16hh, and I think it's he huge great muscly neck that makes him look 'less araby though' although in the show ring he looks araby ha ha, he has a lovely high carriage and so light!!!
this is him winning the stallion class at nationals held at malvern!!!

just wanted to say, fantastic video.

Really nicely put together (and a lovely subject of course).

Might be a stupid Q but where did the voice over come from? I recognise it from somewhere I think.

Great pics! I'm now missing the arab I used to ride. I'd forgotten how awesome they are when they are on your side!

And I love how pretty they look jumping with their necks arched...

This is Remmington (aka Lucy) jumping:

Had a similar story to you with him, only got the ride as everyone else thought he was useless and dangerous.

What a super chap!

Just goes to show how versatile arabs can be, people do underestimate them. I'd love one........

Did you say he's 16hh? He doesn't look it, you must be tall! I thought they were pretty unusual over about 15.2hh, that is why I've shelved the idea of having one.

What lovely photos! I adore the ones over the triple brush - he looks like a complete pro! Certainly wouldnt look out of place as an eventer :D Very well done and good luck for the qualifiers etc. :D

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments!!!

Lucy looks gorgeous!!! They really are special horses, and when you get a good one you cannot beat them!!!

No I gelded him shortly after I bought him, he was a nasty stallion, and I mean nasty. He used to constantly rear, bite, kick... he was horrible ha ha!!! I was also too young to show him under AHS rules as a stallion. He is the sweetest horse now though he is so easy to do and around other horses!!! he's kept the stally look though which I love, great big neck ha ha!!!

With managed to get this like dangerous, risk of life thing on him to get him gelded coz every vet refused to do him because of the time of year (July, lot of flies ect) Haha!!! e was extremely difficult to handle as a stallion and did have a bad temperment!!

Yes he is 16hh!!!! He is a beast haha, again stallys tend mature bigger, and being pure egyptian too they are generally taller :) Yes I am tall well 5ft8, but I have veryyyy long legs HAHA!!! Just wrap them round him HAHA nothing can get away from me legs haha, very rarely run out HAHAH!!!

Wow Jess he looks fantastic!!! Have you posted these on alines? You should! Think you're going to be in for a performance award :)

My boy is 16hh too (Egyptian x Crabbet) but haven't been brave enough to jump in my show saddle as everything is a bit whooppee yeeha with him, but you've spurred me on and i'm going to give it a try at the weekend :) Bit older than you and I don't bounce anymore so might need a vodka first he he

Well done :) :) :)

Awesome pictures! He's fab. My arab is polish, not as big as yours (14.2hh) but also absolutely loves to jump and will take the lead over most things. He's not as scopey as your boy tho and also not as showy!
Very jealous but agree with all above who say nothing beats a good arab!

HOORAGH FOR THE SCARABS! My Anglo (50:50) is doing just the same nothing scares him and he jumps HUGE! He's just 6yo. I havent jumped in 15years (up until last year) now we're doing 3ft3 and rising. I wont go XC (to old and scared) but my eventer friend is chewing my arm off to nick him, even done me a deal that I dont have to pay her as long as she can Xc him:) I will SJ him though. Well done, and lurvely photos - my camera battery ran out so can't show you mine:p
