Morning!
I'm looking at a horse at the weekend, a black gelding, obviously this has triggered one of life's great questions....what matchy colours will he look most handsome in?
I'd love your suggestions and photos would be a bonus.
This horse is 100% black, no white markings.

I can imagine that a really bright red would look amazing, providing it isn't over done. My favourite saddle pad for my grey (ahem, white) is a cheap I bought one day that is black with dark navy binding and red stitching over the 'quilting' if you can think of what I mean? Its our XC pad. Personally I hate colours like yellow and bright orange on horses, but maybe a really nice green-blue or teal or something bright but not obnoxious on a black would be gorgeous. I'm more into my sparkles, just bought a gorgeous bridle and am going to have to fork out $80 for a brow band because theres no bling on the current one haha.

Oh but what colours do they wear? Ive always had very standard colours, red/navy etc, I fancy some fun this time. Tempted by orange but scared it'll look like a Halloween theme!

EVERYTHING

Black is the best colour for matchy purposes ;)

Oh my gosh, amazing! Colour library! I'm swaying towards the blues or the Reds/burgundys

 I just can't help it when everything matches, mum's put me on a matchy ban due to lack of space but I reallly need Mustard, Blueberry, Coral Red and the new pale pink from PS of Sweden, but sadly funds aren't 'quite' stretching that far :o.

I also have frosted gold and shocking pink Anky sets which would also look fab on Topaz but the oldie has them as the pads suit her saddle...

:o !! Good god, child! Where do you keep them and how do you afford them?! I have one numnah bought 3 years ago for my last horse and one with wool for when he's fully clipped out ... they're sort of pale brown ...

:o I blame not have horses as a child so like dressing them up :o.

Really it started when we first started doing dressage 3/4 years ago and it sort of snowballed, I try to buy second hand when I can but LeMieux is my current weakness they are just brilliant pads and wear so well!

Before that I was uber traditional as I showed my oldie so brown with some dead sheep was as far as it went...

*high fives Elle*

I have three horses to dress so need lots to split between them, right?

That's my excuse and am sticking to it! Also hate putting dirty pads on ponies so that's 3 clean pads needed a day, so really am just saving water from all the washing I'd need to do with just the one set :D

Definitely my next request to her  wonder if I get matching jackets made I can get my friends to wear them when I bribe them to come to shows with me, *cake and a jacket* perfect bribery

:eek3: pfft I only have three LeMieux pads, so we clearly need Blueberry, Mustard and Coral Red and maybe fuchsia and turquoise or the new blue..... sorry where was I?
