Been there done that. They Just did a bit of hand waving over the back. Been recommended by lots of people though !
Was yours male or female?

I once went to an Osteopath for my back and he was a real weirdo - he spent the entire session with me sitting on the bench thing, him stood behind me with his arms round under my ribcage, telling me to take deep breaths!

I failed to see how that was going to help my lower back problem and just thought he had some weird breathing fetish! Needless to say, I didn't go back

Osteopath local to us got struck off for being a weirdo!! He does horses now....make of that what you will!!

I spent a fortune with a chiropracter to sort out my back....basically it did nothing. I later had physio therapy & after taking the history the Physio said that the Chiro should have told me that he could do nothing for my complaint as it was a long standing chronic condition.

tried several back people for my various back problems (think I did too many involuntary dismounts in my younger days

)

at last I found that is brilliant - got me to have xrays before he would work on my back too, the only one that did. He does acupuncture too which works well with the osteopathy.

masterbronze, sometimes you can actually feel worse for a couple of days before feeling better having had back treatment so hang in there, hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.

I don't have any idea how it works but I had alot of osteopathy and chiropractic as a teenager due to a combination of growing very fast and falling off one too many times. Most of what they did wasn't that visible, they would put subtle pressure at certain points on my body and it would have a profound impact upon me. After my first treatment I had to spend four days in bed because I felt so unwell. After that we changed the treatment methods and it worked really well for me. It all shows you though that while they may not look like they are doing anything it can have a profound impact on the body when done properly.

If you aren't sure what they are doing ask them to explain how it works and what they are doing. For all I know the person you had out might be rubbish/a fake but don't dismiss the methods just because you can't work out what what they are doing
