Last night, while visiting friends I got a call from a fellow riding club member, asking if I knew who owned two particular horses in my village, as they were out on the road . Fortunately I did know which horses she meant and had the phone number of the landowner. I texted her the number and this morning when I got in touch with her (too late last night when I got home) and all was resolved. I was musing this morning on how different this would have been if either the woman who rang me, or I, had not been fairly active in our local riding club and so would not have had each others mobile numbers. The outcome could have been so very different  So next time I am moaning about the amount of work the RC committee causes me, I will pause and remember two horses back in their field, safe and sound :D It really is a good way of creating a community. :)

Thats lovely to hear its all sorted and RC friends do help massively. I agree sometimes you think how much am I doing especially as like you I am on the committee

Absolutely, really made me think about what would have happened if we hadn't had the network we have, not much fun finding two loose horses at 10pm if you have no way of finding out where they belong!
