My horse is incredibly wet, and we have tried lots of different bedding with him in trying to get one that works - even wood pellets were useless!

But I am now on bedding called "all-bed" and have been since last december the start of, and it really is fantastic

It is fine bedding for the base and then on top is a woodchip mixture - it is actually the best bed!!
It dosent move at all, and so far the bed has stayed dry really well, I add a bag a week!! Horse is in as well at the mo, so it really is great, and it saves time too

I would reccomend it, and its not too expensive either, at about £5 a bale! I think they had offers on at £3.85 for a while!!

How long have you been using it for? A friend of mine uses it and I got a couple of pallets last year, and absolutely hated it

It does make a non-moving bed, but I didn't find it very absorbent - the wet falls through and then just sort of holds "wetly" underneath, the bedding goes a rather strange red colour and the whole thing really smells

I went back to ordinary shavings as soon as I could

Yep, deep litter, I add the bedding as he needs it. If the wet comes to the top I will remove it, but havent needed to yet

I actually love mucking it out - very easy once you get used to it!
