Yeah ive heard a few say about the dublin river boots and the sherwood ones. it a shame, really like there style.

I got my Ariat Windermere a year ago for about £130 - as I was pregnant and needed sturdy shoes - and they've been great. I've worn them loads, in all weathers, they've been on the beach, up to the eyes in mud, horse muck etc. They are warm and dry and don't even look old. They come up clean after a good hose down, though I always respray them with Kiwi to make sure they stay waterproof. I even now prefer them to my hiking boots for walking down the woods as they are less slippy and cope with mud better. I haven't ridden in them yet as I prefer my high riders.

Dubarrys all the way. Pricey but well worth it. I have a pair for riding in and around the yard, they're a year old and still as good as new. Bought another pair to wear going out in general.

My old Dubarry bots are 3 years old on their second set of soles and still 100% WP worn through everything but properly cared for wouldnt buy anthing else now having tried the cheaper alternatives you get what you pay for;)
