Today I took Sov for our first jumpng lesson since September last year, off we went.
Tootled around in the outdoor until he came along and we went inside, had a little chat about what we had been up to over the winter and our aims and goals for this year. (he thinks I am mad for doing the members race with Sov!! but then he isnt alone! )
Jumped a little upright at the top of the school a few times in trot, then the other way, working on getting me to sit up and keep my weight in my stirrups instead of wriggling and balancing on my knees
Then he whacked it up to about 1m and still jumping from trot
Then we were allowed to canter, so Sov took poetic license and was like a mad thing
Over a related distance down the long side, which was tough because if I wriggled or gripped the lline went wonky
and then linking a few together, until we finished over a course of 6 at 1.10m and the last fence was planks at 1.20m
Everyone has been bored to death with texts about how pleased I am but I am soo........................................................
By the way I love my horse
Ps we had to jump the planks three times to prove to him it wasnt a fluke.
