my friend has a horse called "beneath the sheets"...


so he is announced into the ring "here is Alex riding beneath the sheets"

i used to show a horse whos show names where 'swings both ways' or 'the sweet transvetite' (can you tell i like rocky horror?) ,obviously the latter was at more grown up shows would cause too much controversy

I once called one Shy Talk & he was just that. The funniest was my golden oldie that I once sj under his stable name. The commentator announced " Now we have xxxxxxx riding her own Willie!!!!!!!!

I've heard of an eventer called Diazepam and another called Boludo (boludo is a swear word in Argentina).

Not weird, but my friend horse is called Ptar. No one pronounces it wright.

We called my OH first horse Billy No Mates (can you guess why)

When we bought him his name was William same as my horse so we called him Billy the No Mates was soon added

There was a Duncan years ago, owned by a steward Leicester way. Knew Mark Kyle had one, and assumed it was the same spelling. Just checked on BE and they're both there

My friends horse's show name is I Siempre Te Amo (or something!) - its Spanish and means "I will always love you". Show announcers hate it and end up announcing her as Dobbin!
And Morris' is Slow Motion - cos he's slow Mo!
