Vet has just left. After going downhill Robin much better today! Trotted up and hocks looking great with a nice spring in his steps. Scoped and lungs totally clear! Breathing still up slightly but we now wonder if that will stay up until he gets out 24/7. Basically given a clean bill of health. He is still recovering and progress may not be linear but nothing to worry about if he has the odd tired day. All good! He does need to go on a diet tho and vet said get him out sooner and if he looses weight then good! So back to small holed nets and no sooth and gain ulcer prevention or not. He can have fast fiber and lump it ?. I am so relieved I could cry!

Thanks everyone. The first vet visit was 1st September but he didn’t really get bad till mid October. He hasn’t been ridden since then. That’s been a long time of issue after issue and really about to make “that” decision. He can now start very gently walking in hand. That will do us both good. It will be an incredibly slow rehab but at least we can now think about rehab.

Fantastic. The breathing issue has probably helped give his legs a really good rest. Of course it would have been better had it not happened but now that it has and he's getting over it, maybe it's been a help in a strange way.
