The best treatment for a flesh wound

My pony was kicked yesterday resulting in a flesh wound. Its clean and the pony is sound and I just wondered if anyone had any advice regarding the best product to put on it to ensure it heals well and if possible encourage the hair to grow back. Any advice will be gratefully received.
 
I use a good quality aloe vera gel on any cuts my horse frequently gets! (He's a little accident prone lol). It keeps it clean, reduces swelling and promotes increased healing.

I always use veterinus derma gel on any flesh wounds. I clean out with warm salt water first and then apply the derma gel, I have found the hair always grows back normal colour and it's also a good barrier against flies!
 
I would also suggest aloe vera it's good at helping healing without the scarring, ensure you use a product with high aloe though many out there don't. I use the forever living products for me and the pone!
