The best vit/min supp or balancer.

I currently feed Benevit Advance from feedmark. It's a good supplement but you have to feed quite a lot of it. My horses don't get much hard feed so it's difficult to mix in all the powder. Is there another supp or even a balancer that can be fed in smaller amounts that is just as good, or better? Thanks x
 
there are lots of balancers that are all equally good, top spec prob being the best but the most expensive at £30 a bag, i use solid gold feed balancer at £25 a bag and would be without it, my horses general overall condition in a million times better. there is also equillibra and blue chip balancer. they all come in a little pellets so easy to feed. and i think dengie now do a haylage balancer but i havnt heard much about it yet
 
I have my good doer on bailey's lo cal, and my veteran on topspec senior, both of which I'm really pleased with

Or NAF pink powder - very cheap and only fed in small amounts. I think its £13 for a pot that will last about two months.
 
I love Benevit Advance - and feed it to my horse.

You shouldn't need to feed that much really - unless you have a 16.2hh p;us horse. And you can always split it in to two feeds.

If it's for youngsters, have you thought about D & H Suregrow? It's especially formulated for them although you can feed it to anything if necessary and you don't feed a lot of it either (it's small pellets) at about £14 a 20kg bag, it's not expensive either and has given mine a great start and condition.
 
I also feed Benevit and mine only get a handfull of Hi Fi with their 2 full scoops pf Benevit in the summer along with garlic pawder and they all scoff it up.
I like the Benevit results I must admit.

My big lad is on benevit- 3 scoops as he's 17.2hh I think its very good value compared to others Ive used. He was on top spec for an autumn and winter but I dont think it was any good.

My 2 1/2 year old doesn't have enough food to mix any powder supplement in with so he's on top spec lite as he's a good doer. They said its fine for young horses.
 
I use 365 complete from equine answers. Very efficient on line ordering. Google them for web site. Much cheaper than the large company balancers but everything in it including chelated minerals and pre/pro biotics and my competition horses look great on it. You don't have to feed very much and I think it works out around £10/month to feed.
 
I would say Topspec. It is expensive but def. worth it. If your horse is in light/medium work (lesuire riding etc not competing every weekend) then the No.1 Tospec Hoof Supplement does everything. There is another supplement aswell for Lesuire riding I think that doesn't focus so much on hoof improvement. However, I started feeding Tospec No.1 Hoof - it balances their diet and after just two pots (2 month supply) my farrier said my horses hooves had improved alot. Its £17 from Surrey Equestrian but the RRP is £19.
