Probably done to death but there's new products out every year. Which brands have you found to be the best waterproof fly rugs? At the moment I'm captured by the Swish ones, however keen to hear others. Happy to spend circa £100 on good quality. Doesn't have to have a neck.

I don't like any of the traditonal ones as I find my horses get too hot underneath, but I leave the Amigo Aussie on in all weathers and have been impressed that it doesn't slick to the horse.

That's what I was going to reply.

Heavy rain and under 12 degrees - no fill turnout combo
light rain / moderate rain and over 12 degrees Aussie All rounder - cool, fast drying and water resistant
Very hot - I have a rhinegold lightweight zebra fly rug
Not very hot and dry - Rambo Optimo fly rug (or Aussie all rounder)

My shires one is a really handy rug - and my boy wears his a lot at the moment as it’s great whatever the weather unless it gets too hot. But I couldn’t say anything bad about the swish ones having just bought a turnout one from them recently after wanting one for ages - the quality is amazing and they are definitely worth the money!
