had a fabulous weekend! Ty came home and had a blinding lesson on Oscar - really starting to 'get' him. So took Ty out for a hack (in the wind and rain) and it was like slipping into a pair of comfy slippers! he was a big jig joggy but I think we were both excited about being out together again.....he hasn't been hacked out since November so it was good for him.

also think I've cracked Oscar's issue with being caught - if I square up to him he gets nervous and backs off - so I've been catching him with my back to him - caught him 3 times today and he was caught each time!

so all in all a great weekend - just getting my head around having 2 horses - all a bit scarey!

xx

That's great news about catching Oscar - it's such annoying problem, hope you have cracked it!

Sounds like a good weekend

I am jealous, I have had a non horsey weekend, flat hunting in London and I am cracking up hehe xx

thats great! i'm currently having lessons with my riding instructor (who does a lot of natural horsemanship)at the moment, learning to catch my horse. he is terrible but learning quickly. all of the things we are learning about are how he has to 'catch me' and i follow him around the field and then when he turns and looks at me i turn away. if he stays there i turn back around and follow his bottom until eventually he turns and looks at me and then will come over and nudge me to say 'i'm here mum!' time consuming but well worth the struggle.
