I'm excited, scared, the facilities are amazing, but neither me nor the Bog Pony have ever been on a big yard before, other than Camp.

I'm going to miss my friends terribly & I know I'll make new ones, but oh I am bricking it tonight.

It's going to be ok. I keep reminding myself how much fun he had at Camp & wasn't bothered at all.

Laugh at will.

Not laughing at all. We take such responsibility for these beasts, and it just shows you are taking his happiness seriously.

As regards yourself, we pour so much time, money, love and soul into them that it stands to reason we would feel cheated if the new yard did not suit you too.

I don't now the details, but I can only presume you are moving for the betterment of the situation for both you and him. Enjoy your new yard, enjoy new friends, enjoy his new friends, enjoy the facilities.

Change is always scary. I bet in a week or so you will feel like you have been there forever!

You always come across as a wonderful person, who I cannot wait to meet in person. I am sure you will do well in your new yard. Being closer will be just what you and Dave need. Have fun and enjoy, they will love you and your super laddie.

Second that - love your Dave posts.

It’s such a responsibility moving a horse so I completely understand. I made one bad move but you know it’s not like if you make a mistake it can’t be changed. My second move has resulted in a happy horse and rider for the last 8 years.

He was very good, went straight on the trailer, couple of spooks walking up the yard, but it's all new.
Had his wormer, some dinner & a big haynet.

He goes out with his new herd in the morning & then going to start a bit of work tomorrow evening & go for a walk about.

His stable is HUGE! I have left him seeming very happy & settled.

He looks great in there! Glad the move went well and I'm another who thinks a yard is fortunate if you and Dave are there.
Enjoy :)

That's a lovely thing to say. Thank you.

I am absolutely shattered now. All that worrying for nowt really.

& he's now exactly six minutes away from home, not nearly an hour!

Well done on your move, I feel your stress!!! I’m exactly the same, moving is the most stressful thing!! And when it’s done you wonder why you stressed so much!
He looks very happy in there, and you will really feel the benefit of being so close by. You can relax with some vino tonight ahead of his checking out his new pals.

He was turned out with the herd this morning. There was some squealing, some cantering & some show off trotting & then they all settled down. Miraculously, he was waiting for me tonight, I was quite concerned about catching him in 12 acres, but no problems (I have left his old leather headcollar on).
He came in, had a groom, some dinner & we had a lunge. Bit more running about when I turned him back out. Going to be one tired pony tomorrow, will probably utilise that & get on!
