The building work begins........

Some of you know that I'm currently building a livery yard on our farm. We got planning permission last week and the builders started straight away, hence why i haven't been on here much recently

They have been taking down some of the old barns making way for a brand new 100 x 40 foot building to house 30 stables. The yard will also have a 60 x 40 metre arena, and facilities such as an indoor horse walker, solarium, wash room with warm water, clients lounge, toilets/shower, rug room, tack room with individual lockers, 6 miles of off road hacking, etc, etc.

So i thought it would be quite interesting to show you the different satges. Hope I don't bore you!

Thanks everyone. We're not in a rush as we want to get it right, but we're hoping for the end of this year. It just depends, especially with this weather we're having.

Luckily the alspestos (sp) is low grade and we are re-using some on our other farm.

Tia- lol, oh its been so fun at times

not. I spent all day monday and tuesday clearing up all the metal with my Uncle. A company has taken 4 skip loads of scrap metal already and when i say skip i mean those HUGE ones, you can see it in the 9th pic. Luckily we get paid for that though!

I'm 3 miles from Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell.

I know, exactly. Originally we were just going to put 26 stables in one of the old barns and a 50 x 30 arena. But then we thought whats the point in that when there are so many livery yards that just have stables, turnout and sometimes an arena. This livery yard will be completely different from whats around here, so hopefully there will be people who want to come
