The camera really does add pounds..!

She doesn't look particularly preggers in the photo (aside from the tire!) so that's a bit of an assumption - the photo could have been taken at any time.

what the hell is someone riding her/sitting on her if shes in foal...wrong wrong!!

The tiny tot that's on her is hardly going to have her on her knees struggling to move. The picture was probably taken before they realised. It's perfectly safe for the horse to be ridden as normal/lightly for the first few months anyway.

The amount of people that buy mares and don't know they are in foal so carry on riding them. I know of someone that had a pony out hunting one day then in the morning there was a foal at foot. Nobody knew she was in foal and just thought she was a good doer!

Don't be so ridiculous. She's pregnant, not ill. We had a three mares at the riding school where I worked, one on its own, the other two came together. They were all in regular, proper WORK. One popped a foal out the day after being used in lessons, the other two, well I was away from the yard for an operation and when I got back after two weeks, spotted one of the mares straight away and the other was taken out of work as they had come from the same place at the same time and so it was a reasonable assumption she had been caught too. Both produced lovely healthy foals about 3 weeks apart.

Thoroughbred mares continue racing until they are three months to go. Exercise is the best thing for a preggo mare.
