The car crash of Little Downham

You are allowed outside assistance to get back on or be handed dropped equipment, so I got a leg up from my friend who eventually caught stupid horse! the wiggly one before the first water after the coffin thing.. 7 or 8?
 
Oh dear - your thread made me think of someone I know who had similar issues in the SJ - but see she's posted too! Not qualified to comment on what you should be doing, but still enjoyed reading despite the 'car crash' which wasn't a car crash at all!

Hmmm...maybe you need to pretend that there's another fence to go, thereby subconsciously demoting The Last Fence to The Penultimate Fence, which may make it jump better? ;)

There was definitely a crash of some description. I have the grass stains to prove it.

Yes, I do! Dad suggested the same thing. I may do that next time.
 
I saw you through the last water and over the last and you both looked very stylish, not at all like you had had an incident on the sj earlier. In fact we guessed you missed a fence in the sj hence the technical elimination the commentator mentioned. I, despite being useless, was also going to suggest adding an extra fence to your course in the sj to try avoid last fence issues.

Thanks! He felt v good on the XC..... And on all the SJ, except the last fence. Yes, I will do that on Tues!
 
Don't despair - at least you haven't lost your sense of humour - they way you wrote about it made me laugh out loud! You had one bad jump out of how many? and you know why it happened. We get so hung up on the one bad and miss all the many 'brilliant's.

I don't really have any "brilliants" to miss.... but I agree we do get hung up on the mistakes, don't we! Thanks. Yes, it was just one bad one. Must work harder on not being stupid!
