exciting news finally! About time Hannah.Good luck with it all Becki.I hope it goes all straight forward for you. Can't wait to hear what she has.

Best of luck, shouldn't be long now.

As Sally said, I wouldn't leave her for a minute now unless you have back up while you go for a pee; so much can happen so very quickly.

But most of all - don't panic! Be patient and methodical, the last thing she needs is 'distress' vibes from you.
All thinking of you - and I'm green with envy, have ages to wait before Twiggy's due!

ditto sallyf , don't leave her side, it was all over seconds after my mares waters broke.
Yippee i'm glad your wait is nearly over!
She obviously hung on for the better weather

Fingers crossed

Great idea with that book! Didn't you say you are on a writing course? (might be confused sorry). I am sure a 'all the things they never tell you when your beloved mare is expecting a foal' book would make a bestseller among not-so-experienced private breeders

Excellent news!! Hope all is going well hunny! Must say, out of the 40 we now have on the ground this year, I've only seen 1 cervical plug break a) so obviously and b) without breaking water almost immediately. Hope you got back there in time Becki!!!

Hope all's going well Becki.

As SN says, it's very rare that you see the cervical plug come out, I don't think I ever have in all the hundreds of foalings I've attended!

Can't wait for all the photos like everyone else............come on Hannah!
