The Coblet Prances About At Addington

Thanks!

We won the Novice and came second in the Elementary.

Was rather pleased with myself too as I did both long arena tests from memory which is something my dyslexia normally argues with :D Good day had by all :)

Thank you for all your lovely comments! It means a lot :)

He's had a lazy day in the field - I abandoned him to go to Burghley  He's got a nice sheepskin poll guard for his headcollar as a present to make up for it though! :D

Loved watching this and feeling very inspired. I hope that within two years I can get my mare working like this! Beautiful coblet and lovely riding!

I LOVE you're little cob!! It's what Piper and I aspire to (although a school would help)

He's so like Piper (but black and white, not brown and white) that it's unreal! But rather better schooled ;) Since Smartie is an older boy now, you could take retire him and take Piper.......... ?

If it helps you decide, Pip's tail is black, not white. Less washing..............

Thank you so, so much everyone!

I though you might like to see Smartie making friends with our parrot yesterday!

And Kallibear - We could do a straightforward swap if you like? A black tail would be heaven! :D haha

See, so similar. Note the tail colour.......... Belly not included ;)

Seiously, that's what I'd love to be like with Piper one day. He's got the active backend and the temperament, I just need to facilites (and skill :o)

He's really nicely put together! With cobs I think you can't go too wrong with transitions, transitions, transitions :)

But really he looks gorgeous - your going to have great fun!

Thanks :D Sadly he's a midget (14.3 ish) and I'm not (tall 5'8 and a little bit) so he needs a smaller rider. You're quite little, right?........ ;)

Thanks mochadun :) he's 14.1hh

I guess that partly answers you too kallibear. I'm a bit of a midget - at 5ft I look more like 12 years old than 18!

Kalli -my cob is multi-coloured - I think a leopard print cob would look much better in the ring than a skewbald ;)

I also have the advantage of being a lot closer to the OP than you!

HtB admit it, how much do you enjoy the look on the faces of the competitors with the flashy WB's when your little Coblet kicks ass ;)

Haha I do like standing out from the crowd :) though I haven't yet told smartie that he's not a warmblood so I can't make too much if a big deal about it... Don't want to damage his ego! :D

Just watched this again. Really, it does put modern dressage into perspective. This is what it should be about - whose horse is best schooled, irrespective of natural ability. In fact, I'm beginning to think WBs should be handicapped... :D  Then we'd find out who can train!
