Can i just ask all the lovely horse and hounders, in this cold snape if you know of any eldery could you just pop over and say hello and ask how they are.
the eldery a can get lonely at this time of year esp with the weather as it is. last year there were those unfortunate headlines hopefully this year there wont be.

i went to the shops today for an eldery couple & then stuck my jeep trying to turn it ended up digging it out & now done my back in again:rolleyes:
but the couple were glad of their shopping and very greatful
also got for my mum & dad to save them going out - mum asked for malteasers!!

What a lovely reminder to look out for our elder folk and can I say when weather was really bad last time my mother was snow bound for 6 weeks (shes 78) and neighbours and friends from club kept an eye on her which was a relief as im 60 miles away. So just a knock at door and "are you ok is there anything you need " is a simple gesture but can mean so much xx

We are in the Cairngorms and my retired neighbours (who are a mile down the hill from us) keep ringing me to see if I am alright!! Even tho I have 30 years on them...

Bless them, they are so lovely. Because they are down on the tarmac road (whooee) , they can get out sometimes weeks before our track is passable....
