The cost of dog food!

18kg medium sized Irish terrier on raw (natures menu frozen blocks) am and frozen sprats pm is about £50-60 per month. I add in veg which I don't cost and seaweed for dogs which I also don't really cost. I think that's pretty good for quite a decent diet! The sheepdogs have working dog kibble and some raw at much less cost tbh and they all seem incredibly healthy too.

New dog, 37kg malamute, is working out at £65 per month not including treats. The local butchers do a "meat stick" which is bone, offal, general offcuts and waste that they charge £1 each for and they are 450g. She has this with aldi turkey mince, veggies and some rice. She also has riaflex which is not costed in it.

Crumbs my greyhound gets through a sack of feed every four weeks, which costs £22. He gets canident and a joint supplement on top and also a dried sprat or two from P@H, a bucket of which seems to last a couple of months. Extras such as dried tripe and the odd bone from the butcher when I am feeling generous.

Old Brown: £25 a month for Purina Neurocare (plus YuuMove and Aktivate)

Young Brown: £12 every 3 weeks for Pooch and Mutt calming food.

Plus a dried rabbit’s ear every evening before bed.

Neurocare has really helped Old Brown and I will reassess what young brown has but I don’t have the brain power to think about it at the moment.
