the cove

I seen it on dvd a while back, the whole story digusted me too, when the water turns red as the dolphins are killed I could have actually been sick. Thing is the people that will see this movie will already be against whale and dolphin hunting, it's an eye opener but I'm not really sure what anyone can do about it since the Japanese simply refuse to stop.

It is horrid, the way they kill them. That is the most awful part. If they could dispatch them in a more humane way than just brandishing knives over the edge of boats, or in some cases dragging them out of the water behind a truck and driving along the road with them still alive. Ugh, that's why I refuse to go to Japan. I know not everyone in Japan is involved in this, but I refuse to fund any sort of cruelty by giving my tourist money to them.

I had to switch off - couldnt watch any more.....its not a suprise that its Japan as they also like to hunt whales for "scientific purposes" which is just a front.....for the way that they treat these animals it has completely put me off ever visiting Japan and giving them my money....

And don`t forget the 50,000 sharks they kill every year just for shark fin soup, the rest of the poor fish is waste. Some are just de-finned and tossed back to die,a shark has to move to get oxygen into it`s system apparently.Lovely people!

If it is the same way in which tuna are killed where I stayed in Spain (ie rounded up and killed with a knife) then I think it is actually better for fish stocks as a whole as they can choose which to take and which not to take, unlike intensive netting which just kills them all, in this way the younger, potential future breeding, fish can be released to live another day.

Or does no one care about tuna, because they are ugly? :p
Dolphin Friendly Tuna - not very tuna friendly.

how can being slaughtered by slowly being knifed andt hen bleeding to death in agony be better for the fish.??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry if they were killing them in humane way it wouldnt be any where near as bad as how they do it.
i have to say the people who put themselves at risk to show people what goes on deserve a medal.
it needs to stop

Well it looked pretty quick and clean to me when I saw it being done, knife in the head job, the blood doesn't look nice but the fish were not suffering, it was over an instant, unlike mass netting.

what part did you watch i saw them being repeatedly stabbed with spears and being dragged 1/2 alive from the water
the film showed them writhing in agony in the water and tring to escape with blood gushing out.
that isnt a quick death that is a long lingering agonising death of a intelligent animal.
