I think a lot of what she says is very true indeed, there is always talk on here of unsocialised dogs and that is caused a lot by the lead environment in which they live.
My dogs Rainbow Bridge would be the same as mine, standing back behind a line of guns watching birds fall.

I am sorry to hear about your lurcher though, 4 is terribly young to lose them.

I dont get the Rainbow Bridge thing, it is a modern poem with ripped off elements from Nordic mythology-not fact. but then I dont get religion either. and the term furbabies makes me want to slap the perpetrator!
 
Let alone furbabies, being mummy or daddy to a dog? And that dog being a little girl or a little boy? It is all about humanising them. Gross. Dogs are far nicer than humans.
 
I get what they are trying to say in this piece and agree in part. I do think though that if people get comfort when a pet dies that they will be at Rainbow Bridge who am I to tell them no. Everyone grieves in a different way, maybe they don't have anyone to turn to, and if it soothes them when things are at their worst that is fine by me.

I do think whoever wrote this piece needs to get a better proof reader.
 
I think I may have posted it here a while back and think it has a lot of valid points and I saw it shared again recently on Facebook pages. There are bits of it I have trouble with as well.

Rainbow Bridge and Furkids do make my teeth itch a bit but I don't mind if humans use terminology to make themselves feel better - as long as it is not to the detriment of the dog.
