The day before the debut show!

Ok, so not many pics with this one, Ben is all tarted up now, plaited, bathed and chalked tonight, then wrapped up with bandages, hoody, and rug and turned out. Praying he plays nice with his plaits overnight!! He was really good to plait and even though its a local and on a ticket I sewed up as a practice for Thursday, bath time was interesting... He ain't too keen! He has a taste for supreme whitening chalk!! And has had a naff calmer tonight and will have one in the morning too!!! I would have taken pics, but really want to take them tomorrow after the tail has been bandaged, hes had his final groom and wipe down and he's in his bridle looking all spiffing!!!


Finally!!! His equitheme travel and show stuff has arrived so all matchy matchy tomorrow in his chocolate and pistachio!

Everything is packed ready for the morning, and I put the finishing touches to my kit tonight and cleaned my bridle (have just finished!!)

Mother took the pics of me, hence the fact that she didn't bother to get the whole of me in the photo!!!:rolleyes: I'm wearing bootleg cords and black hiking boots, I do have a nice tie pin on but you can't quite see it... Oh and I am trying to smile!

Very smart

For future use - make whitening mix for legs from *Curash baby powder and warm water. Mix to s smooth paste and using a toothbrush scrub well into the socks. Bandage over, when dry - just before going in the ring brush excess off.

* If you can't buy Curash chose a baby powder for nappy rash - it contains zinc

Thank you everyone!! Just crawled out of bath and into bed with a cup of tea! Drinking this and then off to sleep! Tnavas, I did think of your tip (had read it before in one of your posts, but was so nervous I just went for the branded stuff this time, I think once I get more relaxed and confident I can experiment with non horsey products so when this stuff runs out I will buy baby powder instead :)
 
Please don't make the mistake that I did last year..I ended up going to bed at 4 am after getting too drunk with the OH! :eek::eek::eek:

I nearly passed out in the ring by lunchtime..

Think we are going nekked tomorrow, but still undecided for county show. Tomorrow is on a ticket so will be nice to see what Judge (who is a fab judge) suggests.

Lol, no chance of that...I have no OH:D. Had a glass of wine earlier but am now half way through my cup of tea x
