After clipping yesterday morning, and then getting a call from my saddler, I decided last night I was going to ride my 3yo for the first time - really must get on with it as hes coming on wednesday to fit her a saddle and I know hell want me to sit on her.

Shes very athletic (loves doing handstands!) and has been a bit nervous about us being at the side of her to mount. So weve been taking things steady, plenty of lunge work before doing lots of leaning over and walking around so i could slide off if she got worried. Well its all paid off. She lunged lovely this morning, very forward going, no silly business, leant over, walked around a little bit then decided it was to happen. Got on, and had a lovely walk around the field

sorry they are so big, dont know how to resize them

she does doesnt she. Shes been like this really for the past 12 months - was a strong 2yo compared to some in her in hand class, and not bad to say all shes lived on is really grass and hay. Shes about 16.1hh but is very short coupled as you can see.

I'm so please that she was good for you and she looks so much older now than other photos I've seen...much me the saddle! When you have finished her training I'll come and horsenap her
