The day that trigger died, an unashamed post

You are of course right . Trigger had his stand ins . 30 years , he had to. But most of the clip is of trigger . I would also add that none of the horses ridden by "roy rogers" ever looked hard done by or ill treated. So I am still glad to share this post.

30yrs  yes he would have had to have stand ins :)
well i enjoyed the vid, my dad used to sit and watch it on a sunday afternoon and yes trigger and co always looked well groomed , trained and cared for :D

Yes apparently that is true. Also it seems that there was only one real stand in for trigger. Trigger junior(he of the extra coloured socks angelish.)Incidentaly Trigger knew over 100 separate tricks and mostly did his own stunts because the stunt horses wernt clever enough.

Ohhh Ho Mike - I sense that we would get on!!! I had Trigger wallpaper in the bedroom of my youth - he was my inspiration - though I often felt ( even as a small child ) that our cuddly Roy Rogers also had another side to him that the paying public didn't see - a kind of "I'm the damn star here" but he did treat Trigger far better than a lot of cowboys did at that time.

I'm off for me dinner now ....... with the music in my head . A four legged friend, a fourlegged friend, he'll never let you down, he's honest and faithful right up to the end - that wonderful, wonderful, fourlegged friend....... thinking about my mare now.......
