So, who is sat down ready for the Derby?

I'm more excited about the 1.25pm race, the Investec Sir Clement Freud Memorial Stakes. History Lesson, running under the Queen's colours, I haven't seen since he was a little babby!

I was at the stud the year he was born and he was definatly a little sweetie, nicknamed Harry Potter for his lightening bolt!

Fingers crossed for him..... I do like following the foals as best I can (although I don't know lots about the actual racing side of it!!

I don't understand much about racing either!

Have just done stud work, and it's always nice to see them do well.

Ooh that's cool, shame he isn't over here more often!

I know they were talking yesterday about a horse that won some big race... and the last time the trainer had won it was with Motivator - one of the stallions at the stud. Was nice to see what he looked like when he raced!

I'm watching cos its better than working which is what i'm supposed to be doing right now but I don't know a huge amount about flat racing, give me the Cheltenham festival any day

I don't really follow flat racing but always try to watch the Derby as Charlie's Daddy won it, I always hope they will show his win or even just a picture of him but I have never known them to

Hello all! Newbie here, as you mayu be able to tell by my name I am a racing fan (Haafhd won the 2000 Guineas a few years ago)!
I've backed Black Bear Island each way @ 8/1 so fingers crossed I could be in the money!

If you ever want racing info www.racingpost.com is the ultimate source.

Hi Haafhd

I love racingpost.com the stud manager showed it to me so that I can see what horses are entered where and when. I really don't know that much about racing but I find that site pretty easy to navigate my way around!

Thanks for that!

I have seen pictures of him before but not that one, Charlie looks so similar to him!!

Sea the Stars won. I backed him in the 2,000 Guineas last month at a very nice price! Shame I didn't back him today!

Well done you!

I bet £10 over 3 horses, I always pick outsiders and do each way bets. I got 3rd place with £2 e/w at 16/1 so I won my £10 back! That's good enough for me!
