Just wanted to say, I had a lesson with the above on Sunday and it was the best 45mins flatwork lesson ever. I already have a Mary Wanless type instructor (see previous bear down post) and she arranged for her instructor, Denise to do a day at her yard.

I have lesson with various trainers and my horse has issues with strong contact- as do I, I have always been accused o being too light with my hands- not ideal on a 17hh warmblood but he does every thing I ask until I give him normal contact (a small puppy in each hand, weight of a cabbage etc). He seems to see contact as punishment along with the whip:)

My fault as I treat him like my friend- never hack in an outline- always let him look around etc but to be fair he has never really taken advantage (as yet)

Anyway had my lesson with Denise, just felt like a few small corrections, left him forwad a cm, coller bone forward an inch and my striups up one hole, and my horse (according to observers) went into grand prix mode pretty much instantly....(only the movement not the exercises lol) Still cant belive it.....

then I went home and did it all again.

BIG THANKS to Denise and she has given my instuctor a plan for me so watch this sapce:)
