I have a bit of an escapist, and being laminitic prone, it's a big deal!!
His methods vary but he's very good at it!
I have acquired some electrified sheep fencing. He is currently fenced in by regular electric tape fencing and I was thinking of putting the sheep fencing about 1 metre behind as a back up!
I wouldn't nomally use sheep fencing, especially after a friend's horse had a really nasty accident with unsuitable fencing just last week.
But, I'm desperate to keep him fenced in and off the long lush grass because after seeing more posts about laminitis I know the next time he escapes could be the fatal time.
Do you think it would work by a) him seeing that there's another fence and therefore not try to get through the first and b) if he does get through the first he can't get under the second and more difficult to pull out the posts (yes he does that!)
OR do you I'll find him with his foot through it by the morning?
