Well we have just come back today from visiting Horseyscot - I had put the girlies in kennels for the Burghley weekend, so picked them up on Monday morning and headed straight up the M6
Horseyscot is lovely, as are her family, and I had a fantastic time.... however.....
Arrived Monday afternoon - dogs managed a whole walk around the fields without disgracing themselves
Monday night - Amy spent the whole bl00dy night whining downstairs and someone (I suspect Flick) created havoc in the back kitchen

Tuesday morning - took dogs for a walk over the fields. They put up and chased a hare (very impressive, good coursing style!) across three fields, through two fences, and finally through a wall/hedge/electric fence combination
When I caught up with them Amy and Islay had gone over the wall and were pretending they couldnt get back, so I had to climb over the wall/electric fence and retrieve them.
Islay has broken a toe whilst chasing said hare, so her foot is twice its normal size now and she is as lame as the proverbial dog...
Tuesday night - Amy spent the whole bl00dy night whining again
Wednesday morning - we headed home. Just past Lancaster I had a puncture whilst going down the fast lane of the M6 at 85mph - great fun
- so managed to pull onto the hard shoulder and stop. Called out rescue people, put leads on dogs, extracted them from the car so we could sit on the verge.
Flick then decided she didnt want to sit on the verge, backed away very rapidly, and slipped her collar on the hard shoulder of the M6

I yelled at her and she ignored me, then she proceeded to walk around the car so she was almost in the first lane of the motorway
I ran forward and opened the back door of the car (on the inside) and just called the dogs in as I do when they are on a walk. Thank god Flick trotted around the car and popped in.....
I then spent the next half an hour shaking so badly I could hardly text on my mobile
Now we are all home, and the only lasting damage is Islay's swollen foot, although I have stuffed an asprin down her to help that
The only good canine news from the weekend is that I picked up my new freezer today, which will make feeding raw 1000 times easier
