Being a student of a local sixth form whilst owning a horse is a struggle as i want to put a contribution paying towards my mare monthly but finding the time to be able to work would means not seeing my horse, all i can say is that im very lucky to have parents who help me, throughout the summer i was able to cover most of the costs as i worked monday to friday so im now thinking of working on a sunday, im very greatfull for what my parents do for me.

I was thinking of looking for a sharer but she is so rider selective it wouldn't work and im very protective of my girl it would be unfair on the sharer.

Hope you are all well sorry for this thread i suppose it is more to clear my mind.
 
Well, as you said, you are lucky to have parents who help you out :) and good for you for trying to contribute financially as well. Hope your post helped you to clear your head!

Thankyou it sure has, during the summer i paid for all her costs but now im back in education it's not as easy :)
 
What about all the people thay work full time and have a horse?

Surely you could have a part time job and contribute what you can towards her.

As you said you are lucky to have parents that pay or you wouldnt have a horseut some help is better than none, show your parents you are responsible and dont take them for granted.
 
Hey, how nice are you to realise that you have great parents. I am sure that as long as you make an effort to contribute they they are happy ..... but have you had a really good chat with them about it and you aims and ambitions and the education/horse/work balance?

In the meantime just enjoy. Sometimes life is good and its important to be able to enjoy the good times!
 
I no how you feel as I got 13 month old daughter & have a little part time job that I can work as & when if can get in etc, luckily me & mum have a sharer that help towards cost & also my mum has been paying for majority of things. My circumstances have now changed so I can now help out much more, but before I would give my mum what I could when I could & just so she knew I appreciated her help I would go buy her a massive bunch of flowers & chocs just to say thankyou. It is hard for all of us at times, but you will sort it out :)
