The FB 'mob' are at it again

Perhaps the police and Defra should be brought into the equation. If people have imformation about what these people are doing to intimidate or break the law. They should speak up and to the authorities.

Totally agree. Otherwise HHO and FB become some kind of bitch fest for ppl speculating,damaging and affecting both horses and these ppl's lives.
 
I'm sorry I obviously have missed something here, would be so kind as to give me a condensed verion of this, by PM if they would prefer not to post specifics.

As far as I can tell from the limited amount I've seen so far, there are allegations that someone is running a fake horse sanctury as a means of selling horses that had been donated to them, and are "trashing" the reputation of other recognised horse santuaries by alleging cruelty using Facebook as a media to attack them.

Am I far off the track?

my husband and i are the owners of the littletinkers sanctuary, we are not a rehoming centre we give the little ponies and donkeys are home for life
we are an approved fostering and rehoming centre with the RSPCA and we currently have 2 residents that are being fostered short term by ourselves, we also work closely with the WHW
not to say that of course we do have members of the public that do report us to horse welfare agencies
we have a large trotter cross who has a big issue when it comes to the farrier and needs sedation to have her feet trimmed, she was due for a foot trim in February but do to snow and ice the vet would not sedate therefore her feet remained a little long for a litter longer time, we were reported but once the situation was explained and vet and farrier spoken to everyone was happy
french donkey came over with long twisted feet that needed regular farrier trims someone reported us for being cruel to the donkey, but to top it all we were reported for long forelocks, a member of the public felt the ponies could not see and that they needed a hair cut, so you see we are not perfect by all means
however our ponies and donkeys are well cared for and very much loved, we invite anyone to come and see without an appointment, we would hate to be accused of making things look nice because we have visitors
we are located along public footpaths where many ppl walk each day so we make sure that we do things correctly, well we certainly hope we do
yes Littletinkers is now the target of a hate campaign, i have recieved direct threats to myself and to the residents of littletinkers
its upsetting but i will not let simple, narrow minded nasty ppl bully me

To be fair as far as I can tell from the FB page it is only one soliatary individual person who has been issueing threats to Julie & Little Tinkers. She is now banned from FB. This person was known on here a while ago as Shannonbaby21 I believe, & is banned from here too. I have no idea whether or not she is firing bullets on behalf of anyone else, but I have to say I think it's unfair to assume that she is.
I would certainly not condone the way the 'Witches' went about exposing the situation at BER, but as it turns out they were right, & there is currently no proof that anyone other than the person making the threats is involved. I think it's also fair to say that this latest development is part of a long standing campaign she has waged against Julie, who does indeed run an exemplary establishment at Little Tinkers.
 
They have broken the law quite simply. They have put you in a state of fear and alarm and have also broken several sections of the telecommunications act. So if the police don't act then they are not fulfilling their duty so hang their arses out to dry too

I think the people behind this have far far too much time on their hands and should be looking after their own horses rather than being syphilitic swamp donkeys

As nativeponies says, things DO get reported to the relevant authorities when there is enough information to support the complaints - and that's how DEFRA got wind of the trend of importing 'rescue' horses from France

First post but I have been following the place that shall not be named saga for a while now, not only on here but on FB too.

Thats interesting.... so there was some truth in it then? In relation to the sanctuary?

You only have to look on FB to see the ones that are proclaiming they are being attacked are also just as bad in their behaviour as those that started the original "witch hunt"

Only the next day were they firing back at those they held responsible. Surely if they spent as much time looking after the animals in their care as they do proclaiming to be a victim all the time, these situations would not arise.

Let he who casts the first stone be beyond reproach!!!!!

this is a different sanctuary, different case.
 
I understand that this is regarding another sanctuary, but it was stated in the post by Zebedee that although not condoned the witch hunt was right and there were problems at the "one that cant be named". That is what I was referring to on that point.

However before people start or should i say continue with the constant mud slinging, they should look at their own behaviour. They are far from angelic themselves!
