It seems to be everywhere you go. You can't miss it if you go on the internet that some kid is being slated for a song she has sung called Friday.

Just listened to it and ok the lyrics are a bit lame but lets face it probably what most teenagers are thinking, it has a tune and for once it was so refreshing not to listen to songs all about "whos your daddy" and "I am going to bang you up" or "lets all go shagging and take lots of drugs because its so cool to do that stuff and be an emo"...

My first impression was thank God someone some where is being remotely normal. Didn't find it anywhere near as offensive as alot of the comments.

Thoughts? - as its Friday after all!

I only heard it the other day and thought it was fine. Lyrics are no worse than what Black eyed peas etc come out with, and its auto tuned to death so you can't actually tell how bad (or not) she is. Really don't understand the hoo hah.

OMG!! Worst. Song. EVER!!!!

The lyrics are dreadful.. her voice is terrible and sounds like a nasal cat being strangled. The video is also terrible. There are actually no good points about this song AT ALL... AND, it's been stuck in my head all day after me and a colleague let curiosity get the better of us and watched it :s

Er..hmmm.... - if you have this song stuck in your head - it's next to perfect - to be absolutely perfect it should make you go buy it! Here's a couple of pop factual myths!

Pop songs used to be made in New Denmark Street, London - because all the music producers were broke and natural skinflints they all ended up there as it was cheap; however; as all the rooms were very pokey the places got very hot in summer so they had to have their windows open - as soon as anyone began playing a piano all the other tenants would bang pots outside to try and drown out the tune or put the player off because it meant that someone was being auditioned - hence the name "Tin Pan Alley"

Almost as much of a myth is the "Old Grey Whistle Test" and this came about through one of the better known music publisher partners ( pop songs were all sold on sheet music in those days before records ) getting help to decide if the song was a goer - they get their old doorman - who had a grey beard - and ask him if he could whistle the song they'd played earlier.

Personally I find Ms Black's offering very sugary American tat of the worst kind, including the obligatory black rapper - though thank the lord that at least he's not wearing a baseball cap the wrong way about.

A cronic lack of seat belts in that video BTW.

A monotone hamster-girl. But it's not that bad!

I no i thought that!! it doesnt sound that different to a loads of songs to be honest. shes only my age n all. But people dont like her cos her parents just paid for her to make the song rather than her being talanted.

To all the haters: listen to it while you're drunk :p
I hated it until last saturday. We had a house party for my 21st and one of my flatmates insisted on playing it 3 times in a row. I kid you not, EVERYONE was singing along to it. It seemed like a piece of lyrical genius at the time - lyrics so simple that drunk people can sing it :p

I don't understand why it has been auto-tuned that bad as she isn't a bad singer. Listen to her interview on Good Morning America she sings some of the national anthem, she isn't brilliant but she isn't bad.

I think some of the comments are awful, this poor girl is 13 and people are telling her to 'cut herself'

Although this did make me chuckle:

Ah, you MIGHT have thought you knew the words when you were drunk but all you neighbours could tell you different - along with pools of vomit in their front gardens ( or worse!) no doubt.

Have a drink and good time by all means but not to excess - to be drunk, incapable through drink is highly irresponsible and very dangerous for girls.

I do feel bad for her, her parents apparently paid $20,000 for the video to be made and it wasn't suppose to be so famous - especially not for the wrong reasons. She's only 12 and honestly I probably couldn't have done anything better at that age.

Of course this could all be a very clever stunt so that if she ever releases a new song (and it's amazing) everyone will watch it. Just a thought.

I watched it last night to see what the fuss was all about. All I saw was a lame song being sung by a girl who seriously needs vocal lessons...

Bless her Ma and Pa for supporting her!

I had completely forgotten about this but am loving some of the comments! Please no Cliff Richard its not the summer yet!

Oh god its awful! I thought it was a piss take of all the 'disney crew' (Justin Bieber, Hannah Montanna etc) but its real?!
Girl can't sing, lyrics are ridiculously bad and theres 13 yr olds driving sports cars?!
Plus its been stuck in my head. Grrr.
Apparently she is working on a new song called 'LOL' . I wish I were kidding.
