The Gables riding school desford, leicestershire

This place is long since gone but just wondered if anyone else rode here or know what happened to it.

I rode there in the late 80's and have many happy memories, I often wonder what happened to it or the horses there....

I rode there a handful of times. Can't remember the names of any horses but I do remember riding a big liver chestnut or bay horse in a double bridle. I only remember because it was the first time I had to cope with 2 sets of reins!

horse names I remember there are dimril (sp) storm matty spangles. Are you from desford?

The name Storm rings a bell but not sure about the others. I do remember going on a hack down the track that goes to Peckleton or Kirkby Mallory.
Am not from Desford but went to the college there. Am originally from Mkt Bosworth. Are you from Desford?

I am from desford lived there for 28 years went to market bosworth high school though, very nice place. I also went to college in desford.

I didn't know there was ever a riding school in desford! I do know the track to prckleton though, was my regular hack when I lived in prckleton! Where was it in desford?

Hello! I bought The Gables a year or so back along with the house! We've renovated lots of it and now have 8 horses here x

oh wow many happy memories from there, I often wonder what became of the school horses and the people that ran it back then (brother and sister). What are your plans for the place? just your own horses or something more?
