this!! i'd probably hazard a guess as a loose ring snaffle with french link? but even that can cause pressure if not used/fitted correctly!

Iv got the same problem even with no rein contact my horse still overbends so i brought a nathe bit sunday used it sunday night still bloody overbends but hopefully will start to trust it and a least take a little hold. I dont think there anything softer not sure
