The Giraffe Does His 1st BE 90 Shelford Report

It was lovely to see you again :D (Twice in less than a week - this is getting to be a habit ;) )

I saw them warming up for SJ, that horse is enooooormous!!

Excellent result for his first 90, and after so long since his first run too. You must both be very chuffed :)

You too, must 'meet up' again soon:)

He certainly is a big lad, thankfully a true gentle giant who loves humans, couldn't cope with him otherwise:D

We are very pleased just hope it can continue in the same direction:)

Fab report and photos! Well done! We were there but somehow didn't see you or DK - surprising as such an enormous horse surely would have stood out from the crowd?! I wasn't in a very observant mood, clearly.

Dressage scoring there seemed a bit odd to my untutored eye. Lots in the mid 20s, mid 30s and mid 40s, but not very evenly spread otherwise! I wondered if the judges had all agreed to take one look at each combination and go, "ah, this is a 7/8 horse" or "ah, this is a 5/6 horse". I'm sure they didn't but I was looking for excuses as I felt hard done-by with my score :D

Massive well done for the XC clear. I fell off at fence 1 (don't ask  Bill was one of several loose horses that galloped back to the lorry park during the afternoon ) so I rather envy DK his ride XC.

Wow, he doesn't look 19hh with DK on him, but he makes the 90 fences look like trotting poles! Sounds like he's making a good start to his eventing career :)

Thank you. Dressage is always a mystery to me:rolleyes: such a shame about your xc, but you weren't the only one to have a problem at the first
