I am curious as to whether there are any ex-racers that have gone 'all the way' in a new profession?

Stories welcome - either personal accounts of your own re-trained steed or that of any famous/professional competitor

:D:D:D

I think Miners Frolic is an ex-racer though....you can't get more to the top of a profession than him!

no no he wasnt just bred into it. My boy R had more potential than any horse ive ridden, no matter what i asked him he never ever stopped trying gave any task his all and was showing such promise... sadly pts last thurs just so sad but yeah not many but in the right hands a lot of them could go far...

Totally agree - I've got a super talented mare but due to various illnesses and now bone spavin it looks like she's never going to get chance to reach her full potential. very sad.

There is a member on here with an ex racer who is working at PSG at home I think?

Are you thinking of princesssparkle? I *think* her horse is competing at elementary/medium. He's a stunning looking horse.

I believe kilpatrick river is an ex racer?

Look up William Fox-Pitt's horse Stunning.

Exracers are so capable, adaptable and atheltic. Sometimes they just need a bit of firm, fair and friendly handling to reach their potential. I love mine!
