George and twig have had to spend the day in today as a man has been round to do all the hedges. Put them both back out tonight and we had it all, snorting, bucking, farting etc.

As for twig being to slow to ever race i think the trainer would eat his words if he saw her tonight! I've officially now seen her 'fifth gear'! Shes turned 4 now and has more weight and muscle on her when she was in training, I sometimes think these trainers dont give the ones who need to mature a chance although i guess its all finances at the end of the day. Normally when careering round shes a big lollopy unbalanced baby, all over the place. Tonight, she went FLAT OUT. Ears back and sprinting. If she were running at york tomorrow I know who i would be putting my money on!!!!! I've seen a fair bit of racing but nothing as quick as she looked tonight! Scary!!!

And for me! We have been doing a little bit of cantering in straight lines around the tracks of our fields to help her get a bit of muscle and balance when cantering in order to help our schooling work - we havent done much canter work yet. I hope she doesnt get any ideas about going at that speed regularly!

Perhaps you should have left the hedges higher...as a barrier...in case your brakes fail LOL.
Or race her if you can pay a contractor to cut the racecourses hedges while she's running?
