the height/ weight debate

WishfulThinker- no way are you too big for your boy and you certainly don't look 12st!

Kenzo- I know what you mean about it looking neater, i feel exactly the same! But being tall and lanky i don't think i look small and neat on any horse lol

starbucks- thats interesting as a lot of people have said to me that height throughs the horse off balance, never been sure myself as my pony has never seemed out of balance with me!

sidesaddlegirl- I'm surprised your so tall as you look just right on your pony! Lovely looking pony as well!
 
I think everyone should buy a 17hh then no one would have the problem of growing out of a horse/pony!

I saw that being 5ft 7 with a 17.1hh hehehehe
 
I think I am finally beginning to realise that I'm not too big for my mare. I'm 5ft7 and weight about 8 and a half stone. I sometimes feel too big because she is very fine, but I know that she can carry me.

I'm 5'3'' and ride my Dales mare who is 13.3hh/14hh and she carries me a little too well - I always think if she can spook, spink and p1ss off in a second, then she can carry me fine! My instructor also rides her and he is 6foot something and makes her look like a shetland with his feet by her knees, but she still spinks and spooks with him!
