THE HHO BIG DOG WALK

Today is the day for my walk along woolacombe beach in North Devon, have raised £203.50 so far and hope to get some more while doing it

Weather is beautiful here with the sun out and the wind is suppose to be dropping later, so all in all just smashing.
Dog is raring to go and camera is all charged up.
See you all later

Too late to wish you luck Samstar, so just to say hope it went well. And fantastic amount of sponsorship, well done. I am really struggling to get sponsors, as I knew I would, just don't see many people to ask

Han, do you know how many people are actually doing the walk?

I need to tot it up, I have got a spreadsheet but I can't make it work on my crummy home laptop so I am going to have to stay late at work one night to sort it out on my work machine

There are a good 30-odd though, not counting everyone's extras taht they have roped in! I really must work late tonight and get some sense of order here.

I haven't got anywhere near that amount of cash pledged either, remember this is a team effort though so every little will help.

I'm not doing too bad in sponsorship so far! I've only asked everyone at work and my family, but everyone has been really generous - even the tight, skingy people I know have happily sponsored me for a tenner (like my brother).

Everyone is really getting behind the Help for Heroes cause and it makes a pleasant change for the majority of Britain to be so united. It feels good to be doing something so positive for such a good reason.

Thanks for coming up with the idea.

Unfortunately my family consists of 2 kids who would probably borrow the money from me to sponsor me

(brother is out of work so don't like to ask him), got a few people from work but thats about it. Will have to start accosting people in the street next. Agree though it does feel good to be doing something for H4H.

I have about £50 so far but I still have some people to ask and my mum and dad they'll just give me some cash when I've done it!

I'm planning my walk for november 8th which I think is also the remberence weekend?

Hi guys, just wanted to check in to assure you that I am still doing my bit of the walk, I've just been without broadband since I moved house and this is the first opportunity I've had to get on HHO. Yes, I am having severe withdrawal symptoms.

I should hopefully be back online by the weekend.

I'm hoping to walk part of the Long Mynd in the next couple of weeks or so - if anyone in the Shropshire area would like to join me they'd be most welcome, as OH isn't an outdoorsy type and I haven't had much luck in bribing him to come with me yet so it's just me and my borrowed JRT.

Have PMd hanandhen but thought I would also post here.
I see in todays H&H p8 that there is a charity ride for help For heroes. Couldn't we have a piece there next week promoting our event?
Just a thought.

Final update from me.

We raised a total of £620 and covered 95 miles between us

All monies have been posted today direct to H4H with the event number included
