The horse hoarder

what made me sad was at the start of the programme they said he had a wife and 2 children. We obviously then found out about his daughter, but where is the other child. I wouldn't care how stubborn my father was I would do everything I could to help him.

I'm disgusted the RSPCA treated him that way, he would have benefited from their help, not prosecution.... and it's not as if he didn't feed, give them water, a warm place to sleep is it?
He doesn't even have the basic commodities?

I saw the programme too, agree with all the other comments on here, very sorry for the old chap.

RSPCA should be concentrating more on Spindles Farm type cases, or the trotters we have on the road round here, all skin and bone, youngsters being whipped by kids, even a woman I work with who knows nothing about horses said she saw a horse recently that looked pregnant being whipped by the 'travellers'.

And as for the RSPCA chasing that pony! It was just farcical! Then the dart woman, it turned into a comedy at that point! What did that lot cost? Surely the basic rule of catching a horse is not to chase it???!!!

I watched it not what i thought it would be! Felt so sorry for the man!, he clearly would of accepted their help. What about his living conditions :( no body seem bothered about that
Like above the rspca should be focused on places like spindles farm! But even that took them years to sort out. (I used to ride past as a child i remember people reporting it) :(

why did they prosecute him ?? maybe it because his horses were too fat ! they were all in good condition . didnt look wormy or malnourished in any way ! they looked happy , and until the t-----s intervened , peaceful and content . these horses lived a natural life , almost as god intended. go into our livery yard and witness the pampered and totally stressed out, unhappy horses that i see every day . and a lot of them not in the good conditions of his horses ! poor poor man . he needs a hand and a friend .

I actually enjoyed watching this programme. Some parts made me sad but I also had a good chuckle with him as well. He was such a character :)

Especially when so many idiots in uniforms were running round the field chasing ponies that even if they did get near couldnt catch because they didnt have a headcollar or rope  And all the while he sat munching on his sarnie chuckling to himself :D

I laughed at that too! Why was one of them literally running after that black pone? Haha, yes that'll do it, I'm sure you can run as fast as he :p

Regimented worming aside, the horses looks pretty well fed and plump! It was the mans living situation needing the help, not the horses as such. Only issue really was the breeding in his herd!

I laughed at that too!

Me too!

Made me laugh when has said "they're like children, you put feed in a trailer, they go in the trailer" then the person behind the camera said shouldn't you tell the RSPCA that to help and he just laughed and said no, they're supposed to be the experts!

Just watched it on catch up - couldn't help screaming expletives at the screen! Barstewards barstewards barstewards! The RSPCA have behaved abominably towards this poor poor man :( felt so so sorry for him. And the way they terrified that poor little black pony was horrid to watch :(
