I just bought a copy of this (rather expensive!!) magazine and WOW!! It's like a high class fashion magazine but with horses!!! LOL, some of the tack that being modeled, I could only dream of like a €898 Hermes headcollar (I would DIE if Hattie broke a headcollar this expensive as she is prone to do!) or a €1946 riding helmet (LOL, I would also cry if I fell off and broke a helmet of this price!).

Anyone else see this magazine? This is the first issue and am tempted to subscribe just so I can shout at my OH in astonishment at the prices of the tack featured in it!! :D

Seriously?

Oh yes, I always ride with no underwear in a short white dress, with a stock, with no tack and look I am having umm.."thoughts". Who would have guessed that "equus" means horse?! Hilarious..including the website's English "translations":

"We're so incredibly happy, proud (and a bit tired). For our new baby The Horse Rider's Journal has just come from print. We think it's såååå nicely. And I really hope also that you will like. Thanks for your help with names, it was well funny and wise input. (Seriously impressed that so many knew that Equus is a horse in latin!). The magazine hits the streets next week and beyond Denmark we land in kiosks in twenty other countries - and it is so upturn!"

Is it a spoof? The grammar is very poor and the text conveys a spectacular lack of even the most basic knowledge.

Looking at the link and seeing that girl on the front cover, I can only guess that it is aimed at the male species!! :) :)

Nope, it's not a spoof and it's aimed at females! I have a copy right here in front of me! It's from Denmark and I don't think English is the editor's first language. The articles in it are well written though and there is an interview with Edward Gal (and photos of him wearing an AMAZING light colored shadbelly jacket, I want one like it!).

It's not written for intellectual study but it's brain candy combining high fashion and horses (plus tack I could only dream of owning). High couture for the horsey set if you may? :D

The link mentioned belong to a Danish fashion blog and not The Horse Riders Journal.
