I've just been watching the Olympia coverage and the brilliant musical ride by the Household Cavalry and was wondering why they make the horses lie down? Is it something they actually used or just a show trick?

in the good old days, when horses went to war...they were used as "hides" by their riders to hide behind when they were being shot at...![]()
ahhh okayy. kinda wish I hadn't asked now...but thanks for answering my question

OhI was under the impression that it was so the whole cavalry could hide too, not so the human half could hide and the horse half could be shields.
That is shameful![]()

Then why is it whenever NP posts, you're not far behind? Pretty chummy for someone who seems to hate her!
Excuse me, Im certainly not a follower, and wouldn't be able to get that close behind NP anyway, as she is so far up her own backside she could turn herself inside out, and where did i say that I hated her, I wished her a merry christmas earlier. So its one of those ducky, get your facts right .
I was there when one of the Monkey Boys couldn't get hos horse to lay down... hurr hurr it was hilarious!!!
