What do you do with your horses in the day, do you bring them in on dull days due to flies or do you leave them out? I'm thinking surely better out than in (with fly mask and fly sprays). I'm confused at what everyone on my yard does and what is expected of me?

Listen to your horse and do whats right for your horse. look for bites or are they hot when out etc. baby would happily go out in the hottest weather with her fly sheet on but the lad suffers but diesnt need fly sheet on . Do what you think is best for your horse and you and hey none of us get it right every time :)

Depends on the field and the stable. If the flies are bad outside and there's no shelter or breeze but the stable is cool, I'd bring in.

I don't use fly masks, I've known a few horses lose an eye because of them. Fly sprays don't seem to work so, I either use the Kool coat sheet or nothing.

Yes Anneigh is far better outside with the company of one other mare, she has no bites, just lots of tail swishing :)

Ours are all out in the day and still in overnight (though we were hoping to have them out 24/7 by now, not sure it will be happening this year due to various reasons!)

In the day they have fly rugs (and my mare has a mask as the flies seem to be so attracted to her colour and plague her). Lots of power phaser too.
