"The Laminitis Revolution"

Use the 'system checker' tab on the top of that link - there's minimum system requirements to be able to watch the video, unfortunately.

I can't watch it but attended a seminar in person by the same chap. The 'revolution' as I see it is that more than 90% of laminitis cases are caused by hormonal disorders (PPID/Cushings or EMS). Access to lush pasture alone does not cause laminitis. Probably isn't much of a revelation for the average HHO-er but you'd be surprised by the amount of horse owners who think that it's all about overfeeding and lush grazing.

The thing that came as a big surprise for me, at least in the seminar I saw (not sure if it's covered in this video) is that laminitis has been documented as far back as ancient Greece. It is not a modern phenomenon, it's been happening to horses for thousands of years.

Hooray for that!!! My mare had urticaria when she first presented with laminitis. I was sure it was not grass - the reason being that in Hot June/July in France I don't have rich grass.

During my childhood, I rode bareback because my friend's grass fed ponies were too fat for a saddle. I had never heard of laminitis until I returned to riding in my middle years.
