So I've literally just got my copy of Horse and Hound this morning and flicking through as you do and I came across the heavy rider's article.
Reading through it, there are some good points such as having a limit on the weight of riders which I think is sensible. However I think common sense also comes into this, obviously you would not put a heavier rider on a smaller danty horse, and there are horses which are bred to carry weight's such as cobs, highlands, shires etc.. the welfare of the horses is imperative of course. But I know some people that are bigger and ride very lightly where as I have seen smaller riders riding like a sack of potatoes...
What do you guys think? Do you think should there be some kind of restriction? or what is the answer?
Btw I am not snubbing heavier riders down, I just wanted to see what people think about this article.
