I know it's the Mail but...you make £90K out of people by totally duping them and making them feel vile when they subsequently discover their dead dog has been chucked in a ditch or burnt in a field, you only serve 7 weeks of an 8 month sentence and all you have to pay out is about £3K...so where did the rest of that money go then if their assessment is based on her assets? So easy to be a criminal these days.

I remember that case being in the news locally, just an awful way to defraud people . Its shocking how little punishment these criminals get & then usually don't do anywhere near the full sentence, though 7 weeks out of 8 months really takes the pee. Perhaps the 90k went to pay off her companies debts.

That's a bit harsh to suggest the victims were gullible, when you don't really have much option but to put your faith in a crematorium as unless you personally watch them doing the cremation then collect ashes after you've no way of knowing for sure what's gone on behind the scenes. There was also vet practices using their services it wasn't just individuals.

I've never asked for ashes back, because I know it will probably be a mish mash and TBH, the real dog is gone, the spirit of the dog, all that's left is a body. Just my opinion
