The London Horse Show

and just the train (that doesn't run late enough so I'd actually have to drive to a station nearer than cambridge, pay for parking there. . . ) would be £47 for me, before you start adding on tube to get from kings cross. Parking + petrol will def work out cheaper even with only me in the car :).

FWIW I was really not sure about driving in/out last year (a bit OMG I'm not driving in London!) so we went in from Rara's in essex so I had a wingman as she knew where we were headed, had options for getting home but became apparent that actually the easiest thing to do was to just drive home so I will attempt to drive in down the M11 as well as home this year!

I'm not sure they did any last year, and very few the last olympia year if at all. As we had all got used to waiting for them rather!

A search of my facebook says 2018 they only did Monday evening tickets, 2017 there was quite a lot.

They are listing a Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the moment £20 - £40

Worth noting the ULEZ has been extended this year for those driving into London...
Yep!! ? such a shame the strikes will definitely put off a lot of people. We've booked a hotel so will definitely still go and just drive...we'd lose too much money canceling

It says deal no longer available? :(

Is it just me? Do you need to be signed in?

Thanks though! :)

It's still there and when i clicked i could continue as a guest

For some reason the link may not work but if you type London horse show 2022 into Google. For some reason the first resulr is 2021 but tbe second listed is this year.

I didn’t realise it had moved. I haven’t been for probably a decade, but it’s the only indoor horse show I’ve really liked. Probably because of the festive feel. We used to like staying in London and making a few days of it. It was a nice area to stay in.

Hopefully the new venue has more toilets and a more spacious shopping area. That was my criticism of the old place.

Moved last year :)

We're going! Not been when it's been at the Excel before but I remember getting there/ back was easier at the previous location? Just looked & am I reading it right that the last train from there is at about 8.30pm?? So really only option is to drive there? Or thought about an uber from/ to Paddington then train from there?

Get the Elizabeth line from Paddington to Excel.

Yes, yes and more food options and tables to sit and eat at rather than having to find a spare bit of carpet to sit on ;)

Don't know about the Elizabeth line but last trains for DLR are about midnight. Or are you looking on one of the strike days?

You can use the tfl journey planner to check all the options for the day and time you are going.

So tempting!

At Olympia there weren’t really any ‘bad’ seats, even the cheap ones were great. What’s the situation at Excel?

The seating layout is pretty much the same, the very cheapest I struggled a bit last year as the ones right in tbe corner you do end up turning your head one way a lot and my necks grumbly so gone one up this year ?

I found at Olympia, when we sat in the expensive front row, that we couldn’t see a third of the arena as we were in a corner. Preferred to sit further back after that.

Its much more spacious now, seating is definitely more roomy and the shopping area is much bigger and more spaced out. You can watch the horses warm up top which is fab! We loved it last year.

Its 1 minute from custom house on the Elizabeth line, also loads of parking under the arena
